- Guru-Parampara Tradition – One may worship a Sri Chakra that was previously worshipped and energized by one’s Guru and received through the lineage.
- Guru-Created Sri Yantra – A qualified Guru may create and consecrate a Sri Chakra specifically for a disciple.
Many Siddha traditions maintain that these are the most beneficial and spiritually authentic methods of obtaining a Sri Chakra.

The Glory of Sri Chakra – The Supreme Throne of Sri Lalita Maha Tripurasundari
In the second verse of the Soundarya Lahari, the great sage and philosopher Adi Shankaracharya describes the unimaginable power and glory of the Divine Mother. He poetically declares that from the sacred dust of Her lotus feet, Lord Brahma created the fourteen worlds of existence.
- From that divine dust emerged the seven higher realms—Bhūloka, Bhuvarloka, Suvarloka, Maharloka, Janaloka, Tapoloka, and Satyaloka—as well as the seven lower realms—Atala, Vitala, Sutala, Rasātala, Talātala, Mahātala, and Pātāla. Thus, the entire cosmos owes its existence to the grace flowing from the feet of the Supreme Mother.
- The same sacred foot-dust manifested as Ādiśeṣa, the cosmic serpent, who bears upon his hoods the fourteen worlds created by Brahma. Such is the immeasurable power contained within a single particle of the Divine Mother’s grace.
- Lord Rudra (Śiva), recognizing the supreme sanctity of that sacred dust, is said to have taken it into His hands and, through the power of the Tryambaka Mantra, transformed it into holy ash (Vibhūti), which He then adorned from head to toe. This imagery reveals that even the greatest of gods revere the Divine Mother as the source of all power and existence.
The Divine Mother’s glory is further illustrated by the presence of Saraswati, the power of Brahma, and Lakshmi, the power of Vishnu, who stand on either side of Sri Lalita Maha Tripurasundari, lovingly serving Her with celestial fans (Chāmaras). When the Divine Mother cast Her loving glance upon Lord Shiva, there manifested Sri Mahaganapati, accompanied by Siddhi, Buddhi, and the blessings of prosperity. - Thus, enthroned at the center of this vast cosmic empire is Sri Lalita Maha Tripurasundari, the Maha Samrajya Dayini—the Bestower of the Supreme Spiritual Kingdom. The Sri Chakra is Her celestial palace, Her kingdom, and the geometric expression of the entire universe.
- For this reason, the Sri Chakra occupies a unique and exalted position in the spiritual traditions of Sanātana Dharma. It is said that one who beholds the Sri Chakra with devotion receives the collective merit of worshipping all deities, for all divine powers and manifestations are present within its sacred geometry.
- For those who do not know their family deity (Kuladevata), worship of the Sri Chakra—especially through the traditional Aṣṭa Gandha Sri Chakra—is considered a profound blessing. Such worship is believed to invoke the grace of one’s ancestral divine lineage, bringing harmony, fulfillment, and spiritual protection.
- The Sri Vidya tradition reveres the Sri Chakra as the Yantra Raja—the King of Yantras—and Sri Vidya as the Mantra Raja—the King of Mantras. Likewise, Sri Lalita Maha Tripurasundari is worshipped as the Supreme Divine Mother, the source from whom all gods, goddesses, worlds, mantras, and cosmic powers emerge.
Therefore, the tradition proclaims:
